Since we’ve opened, we’ve been dedicated to changing the lives of people one person at a time, through martial arts, education and coaching. We strive to provide a safe, comfortable and welcoming atmosphere for all students and family members. Ernie Kirk
Ernie is the U.S. Representative for Krav Maga from Wingate Institute, Netanya Israel (Birthplace of Krav Maga). He holds a 5th Degree Black Belt in Krav Maga, 6th in TKD, 5th in Hapkido, Black Belts in Goju Kai and Judo. Certifications through Wingate include: Senior Instructor, Military Instructor Certification, Security & Close Protection Certification, Children’s Instructor, was featured instructor at International Krav Maga Seminar at Wingate Institute and received recognition for efforts and teaching Krav Maga in America. Wingate is solely responsible for providing self-protection instructors to all
combat Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) units. Mr. Kirk is the only American instructor recognized by Wingate with authority to certify others using the Wingate curriculum.
Mr. Ernie Kirk is the Lead Self Protection Instructor, USAF Air Advisor Academy (AFAAA), Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, NJ. In this position, Mr. Kirk is responsible for developing and providing tailored pre-deployment self-protection curriculum to all students attending USAAAA.
The AFAAA mission is to support all services and students are comprised of active duty, reserve, and DAF civilians selected to support execution of DoD missions worldwide and in all threat conditions. His experience and expertise was instrumental in the creation of the USAF Air Advisor Academy’s proprietary Self Protection curriculum and the Air Education Training Command (AETC) instructor certification process. Mr. Kirk was charged with self-protection instructor development of other AFAAA cadre as well select personnel from other military and law enforcement units identified to provide this necessary skill set upon certification. Mr.Kirk’s extensive knowledge of combatives and real world experience made him instrumental in refining and operationalizing the AFAAA Flight Deck Denial training module. Mr. Kirk has been personally selected for his professionalism and adaptability to lead Mobile Training Teams to deliver Self-Protection and Flight Deck Denial
education and training to select DOD personnel. Mr. Kirk is Lead Instructor for Flight Deck Denial and frequently instructs Special Operations Military Personel. He is also part of a Mobile Training Team specifically designed for SOPEs (Special Operations Planning Exercises). Other key positions and accomplishments of Mr. Kirks include being a charter member of instructors certified to teach Israeli based Krav Maga’s self-protection system in the United States. He was “Train-the-Trainer” for both Law Enforcement and civilians for Krav Maga Worldwide, the largest Krav Maga organization in the U.S. during this period. Finally, he was selected as the Director Krav Maga Worldwide Advisory Board.
Anne Kirk
Anne has a background in Krav Maga ( 2nd degree Black Belt from the Israeli Federation of Martial Arts and Krav Maga Universal), Self Defense, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (Blue Belt), and MMA. She has earned a teaching and instructing certification from Krav Maga Universal, as well certificates in teaching theory and practical application of Krav Maga from the Wingate Institute in Netanya Israel and the Israeli College of Sport in Tel Aviv Israel. Anne is also a Doctor of Physical Therapy which influences how she teaches her students the principles of balance and force generation in self defense scenarios. Anne held a position at the Domestic Violence Center of Chester County where she was trained in trauma informed education to improve her work with survivors of domestic violence. Anne assists local law enforcement and military with scenario based training, practices Physical Therapy, and facilitates advancements and improvements in self defense education. Anne is also one of the core instructors for numerous International Krav Maga Camps where she teaches alongside former Special Forces, professional fighters, and Counter Terrorism professionals from the USA, Israel, UK and Italy. Anne continues her self protection training with WW2 knife combatives and firearm training.
Most recently she earned her Protective Security Detail Certification from Masada Tactical.
Jerry Smith
Pennsylvania Representative of the Rigan Machado Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Association. He holds a black belt in BJJ, a black belt in Judo, 2nd degree black belt in Kyokushin karate, and instructorship certifications in USA Combatives from U.S. Navy SEAL (ret.) Patrick Tray, as well as Jeet Kune Do and the Filipino Martial Arts from Progressive Fighting Systems founder, the talented Paul Vunak. Jerry is also a retired U.S. Air Force Security Forces NCO with 24 years of experience teaching Ground Combat Skills, Combat Arms, and Security Operations. He is also a former Baltimore, MD Police Officer with assignments in Patrol, Field Training Officer, Firearms Instructor, District Stabilization Unit, Robbery, Gang, and Drug Units. Because of his experience with these subject matters, Jerry was hired as a Department of Defense contractor instructing members of the USAF (including members of the AF Special Operations Command) in firearms training, self-protection, anti-carjacking, and flight-deck denial. Currently, Jerry is an active federal police officer in Philadelphia, PA teaching Active Threat Response Tactics and Firearms instruction.
Curt Norcini
Curt Norcini holds the level of 3rd degree Black Belt, under the supervision and instruction of Ernie Kirk and Krav Maga Universal (KMU). He also holds a Blue Belt in Brazilian Jujitsu. He attained his Krav Maga Instructor Certification in October of 2009 and is currently a Krav Maga instructor at KMU and Kirk’s Martial Arts in Glen Mills, PA. Curt has assisted in the training of US Homeland Security personnel (Philadelphia Office), the West Chester Police Department and The Chester County Regional SWAT team. He has also assisted with instruction at United States Air Force, Air Advisor Academy, Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, NJ. And has participated in training as OPFOR for Tier 1 operators and law enforcement. Curt has also instructed in numerous seminars in the area of Women’s Self Defense. He is certified by the NRA – Pistol, Basic PPOTH and Advanced PPOTH. Curt has lectured in the topic of Self-Defense vs. Retribution- Use of Force for Krav Maga Instructors at the 2013 PMA Martial Arts Symposium in Orlando Florida. He also sits on the Advisory Board of KMU and NW Self-Defense Education. Professionally, Curt is a board member of the Chester County Bar Association and the Chester County Bar Foundation, a Solicitor to the Chester County Register of Wills, Assistant Solicitor and Treasurer to the Republican Committee of Chester County and a practicing Criminal Defense attorney and founding partner at the Omnis Law Group, LLC in Media, Pennsylvania.
Peter Bunting
Brown belt in Krav Maga under Ernie Kirk and Krav Maga Universal. Certified Krav Maga Instructor through Krav Maga Universal. Cross trains in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, WW2 knife combat, and firearms training.
Mark Grobman
Marc Grobman, known as “Doc”, has been studying Krav Maga with Mr Kirk since February of 2016. In that time, he has attained the rank of 3rd degree Brown Belt. He has attended numerous seminars and has assisted with demonstrations of Krav Maga for the community with Anne Kirk. He has also been studying Aikido with Assistant Instructor, and newly awarded Black Belt, Michael Hutchison for the past 2 ½ years and recently attained 6th Kyu ranking. Dr Grobman has a successful medical practice in Wilmington, DE and is married with three children.
